018 - exemption from chargingIf you are physically disabled and have trouble using the telephone book, you can apply for an exemption from 018 charges (normally 56 cents per call). When an exemption is granted it is only allocated on your fixed home telephone line. It is not available on your mobile phone or business line and the exemption does not apply to the additional Direct Connect service (50 cents per call).If you qualify for the exemption, you will forfeit the $1.25 per month line rental reduction that was introduced at the time that 018 charging began.
