They have 2 bedrooms one room with a double bed and the other with 2 singles and the unit is really spacious. The sofa in the lounge can also convert into a double bed if needed. They have DVD Player, flat screen TV, full kitchen with large fridge, toaster, hobs and microwave. There are electric blankets on the beds if it’s cold and a fan if it’s hot. The bathroom is as big as the bedroom, it has a fold out shower bench on the wall, well placed rails and sliding shower head. For some unfortunate reason they have put a wooden rim around the floor of the shower, I’m guessing to stop the water running out but this does cause some difficulty in the roll-in aspect if using a shower chair on wheels. The dining area has a large six seater dining table and outlooks 2 huge wall to ceiling windows which gives a good view of the camp. The accessible units also have a deck with seating outside and awesome ramp and level door entry. The finer details have also been considered with a large handled key for the door for those with difficulty with silly small locks. Although it is just as easy to self cater, if you don’t want to or want a night off there is a great restaurant and bar on site with really well priced and has delicious food and of course Hawkes Bay wines on offer - I mean when in Roam!. The restaurant dining room is really accessible with ramp and standard tables and seating which can be moved to accommodate your needs. They also do takeaways if you just want to order and go back to the room or picnic in the grounds. The camp is well set up with a shop, wireless internet access, games rooms, TV rooms, picnic tables for each campsite and vending machines for late night munchies. I will definitely stay here again if possible.  |
